Lol, okay, I obviously didn't pay much attention to the image I linked to. Yeah, only the first one is actually mine, my 5 year old laptop. I couldn't be fucked going to 3 or more different machines for you guys, and especially seeing as how all of you would have disregarded it - and this is increasingly obvious becuase of the fact that all of you have completely neglected responding to anything else I've said.

And I'm pretty damn sure none of you will have believed me when I said I copied the screenshots from the web, so just for you guys, I checked back in my history and found links to both images.

I know it was pretty pathetic, but really, any effort in arguing with you guys is wasted time, and I really don't have a lot of spare time.

And about the online gaming controls being better. Holy muther fucker, I have already said to you that you can use a mouse with the PS3 and I've used a fragfx pro third party controller, which made console gaming even easier than PC gaming.

Damn you guys only seem to hear what you want. I said I pulled those images off the net becuase I couldn't be bothered getting shots of my computer that would only end up being ignored by you, becuase as I said before, you only hear what you want to hear. also, vista 32bit supports up to 3.5GB of memory, so you're not actually losing much with 4gb.

That and we only disregard what you give us because you've just told us that it's fake. Thus causing the validity of your new evidence to be a little precarious; we'll take your word for it nonetheless.
Lookign at your specs, it seems that the ps3 would probably be the better option for you. If you ever take interest in compedative gaming for the PC, a cpu and (probably) a gpu upgrade wouldn't go astray. Honestly I don't have that much hate for console and depending on what your intereseted in, it may be the bettter option for you. Obviously flaming is the reason for all of these posts regardless.

Diverting the thread back to the original conflict at hand - PC is still a better gaming rig than any other created. Its not an opinion its fact. Truth of the matter is, in a years when the PS3 is a "Last Generation" gaming system.. PC will still be rocking. Sure we will have UI mods, OS changes, and part upgrades, but its still a PC.

Quit QQ'ing defending a less potent gaming experience machine, and accept the facts hun, PC > PS3. <3

Also, ando, the card I have at the moment runs almost every game perfectly, I don't really see a reason to upgrade to the flashest and best card on the market at this stage.

Okay back to the original topic.

What makes a good system is not the online play, it's the experience. I don't enjoy a lot of online games, I much prefer just to delve into the world created and just let myself become immersed in the whole experience. I don't game online for to get the best titles or stats, to socialise or 'own noobs' becuase I think actually playing a quality game and enjoying it is so much more enjoyable. If I want to brag about how great I am at something, I'll make it something that actually is impressive sport/school. If I want to socialise with people, I'll go out with them and do something more interesting. And If I ever wanted to 'own' someone for my own pleasure, I would hopefully realise I desperately need a life.

I think I'm going to start getting a lot of negative comments from that.

Also, just to gain an understanding, could you mention like some of the better games on PC or whatever, becuase I'm interested to see if any of you enjoy the experience some quality games offer, or if you just jump straight into multiplayer to boost your stats as quickly as you can.

I found games/series like Uncharted, Fallout, Resident Evil, Silent Hill, Resistance, Bioshock 1 and God of War to be incredibly immersive and loads of fun.

Oh, and for the record; over 80% (is my guess, give or take 10% for arguments sake) of games now days are created for the online experience. I know this is unrelated and you haven't really commented on the game at all - but MW2 was created for the online play, the single player was just for kicks.. If your looking for a PC game to play 'Just for Kicks' may I suggest Hello Kitty Island Adventure 1 & 2.

I wouldn't contest that online gaming dominates the market, but jesus christ, you really have no fucking clue what you are talking about, banding around figures of 70 to 90%. - Better Control Schemes - Wrong, you can get the precision of a mouse on a controller and use mods to reassign controls on controllers.

- More CPU Power - The ps3 is no where near outdated yet, and you're a fucking tool if you claim so. Do you only enjoy games with the best graphics on the market? if you do, wow, you are fucking pathetic. Just becuase a game isn't technically the most impressive game, doesn't make it a bad game. Some games with simpler graphics will look better in another 20 years becuase they don't sacrifice other game elements just to make the game better. Super Mario bros. is a more visually pleasing game to watch than say halo, which was one of the best looking games in its day, but it's still a mediocre game to the core, and it looks really shit ass nowadays too.

riley theres something seriously wrong with your 8gb rig if its getting 5 on windows experience index. my 4gb rib gets 7.3, so u must have shit ram speed or shit graphics limiting it which would be why your ps3 runs games faster.

The ps3 outruns the 2 and 4GB pc's easily, although the 8gb, gaming specific pc, easily outruns the ps3. My point was that the ps3 is much better than an average PC.

The ratings aren't accurate, and Vista's measurment is from 1.0 - 5.9. My computer got 5.8, which is just under a perfect score, it's hardly 'shit'. A score on

Also, I dunno if you failed year one maths, but when rounding to whole numbers, all numbers ending in 1-4 are rounded downwards. 5-9 are rounded upwards. You cannot generalise a score of 5.8 down to 5.

The scores in vista and win7 don't relate to each other as well. 1 on vista does not equal 1 on win7.
5.8/5.9 ~ 97-99%
7.3/7.9 ~ 90-92%

Dude, just so you know, the i7 processor overpowers your PS3 Cell (which is in fact interior to a CPU) your Cell has 1ppe and 7 spe's. The i7 is a 6 Core processor with 12 threads, and I'm not even going to talk about the i9.....

Give me some stats you adore so much about your PS3 and I'll counter your components with better, PC ones.

I never claimed the ps3's processor was better than the latest in PC hardware. I did claim that the ps3's hardware is still far beyond the average PC - this was countering your argument saying that it was old and outdated technology.

Just becuase your gaming setup has a ton of horse power behind it doesn not make it any better. Take the original xbox. It was state of the art when it was first released, but the games and controls sucked horribly. The ps2 was using much older technology and was a better console by miles.

The specs of your rig don't make a single fucking difference - other than that you can play some games at higher settings.

Play games full stop.

That's exactly what I've been saying, the gaming experience rests almost entirely on the game itself, not the hardware you're running it on, and I've found that most PS3 exclusives are far better than anything you can find on a PC.

I dislike the Wii. I mean sure, it's kind of an innovative idea, but you can't just sit down and play it. With the other two you can just lay on your bed and play. It's far easier to play, and the controls on the Wii seem to be awkward and unnecessarily unorthodox (the nunchuk you have to attach, the a and b button so far away etc). The Xbox has more versatility, but the PS3 has better game play.

I think that the Wii is a go idea but only if you get it as a present from someone else, come on they only sell you a third of a controller.

PC is a better gaming console but for people that want to just sit down and just play for ten minutes i recommend the Xbox 360 the least annoying of the three systems that if i could not use the computer i would play

Ten minutes isn't enough to start up a game, load a level, and get more than 3 steps into the game. If you play for 10 minutes and get ANYWHERE I salute you. You would be better off eating a pie than trying to play a game. Also, this is disregarding the addiction of gaming systems. You either have serious willpower, a very nagging mother or you're just bad at gaming. My bet is that it is not the first option.
