If evolution is true then who did god evolve from ?

I know it doesn't make sense, if your Atheist then God doesn't exist.
I just saw something like it on 4chan.

Personal favorite when dealing with the extreme Christians/Catholics

Even though I'm an Agnostic the principle of this stays the same.

I can't believe how many people in my human biology class don't believe in evolution. Sure, they can believe that a God exists if they want... but how the hell can anyone NOT believe in evolution and natural selection?? It's not a question of belief.. the evidence is RIGHT THERE. Organisms with better traits to suit to their environment will survive longer, breed more and pass on those traits. And so the species evolves over millions of years because of those slightly better genes and mutations thereof. It.. just happens. That's how it is.

Agreed: I don't understand how people fail to grasp the concept of that one statement. Evolution is common sense, fact, proven. I wasn't taught to be either Christian or Athiest, but from around the age of 6 onwards I accepted that stronger individuals made it further in life, thus their children did too. Evolution. I pondered, and maybe believed in the existence of God (all the while believing God also made evolution, not just the base species) until I was about... 9 before giving up the idea altogether. Can't any of these crazy Christians actually think?

I believe people should believe in something if they can. I have trouble putting my faith into anything, but I understand religion gives hope and a future to so many people... but when people outright reject scientific evidence with poor excuses, bible quotes and conversion attempts? "God works in mysterious ways"? That pisses me off. Killing in the name of God? That just doesn't make sense - it's just plain upsetting.

Somebody needs to rewrite religion, I think it's broken.

Religeon might have started off as a keen dardi idea for happiness and a way to explain life after death- or lack thereof, but it's an excuse for people who can't be satisfied in lifew unless they believe that they are so important that they should be immortal. Some do seem happier, but if ignorance is bliss, then christians are the height of this.

And Religion is fantasy.

I get what you were stating that Atheist can be just as extreme in attempting to prove the opposition wrong and themselves right, but that is not what makes a religion.

Censorship is right, atheism is not a religeon, it's a belief. Big difference between religeon and belif, despire religeon being constructed fro mbelief.

Atheism only becomes a religion/cult or whatever when we deliberately band together in support in our beliefs.
To me, if atheists identify religion as the the enemy, then how are we any better?
