| San Andreas. The first GTA game I played, way back on the ps2.
That game was so damn fun, though it might just be nostalgia.

| yeah, I know what ya mean, but I think it focused too much and the small unimportant things such as the skill levels and fitness, etc. It was still an awesome game tho | |

| Vice City and San Andreas were pretty crazy, but I have to say my favorite was 4. It was so detailed in every way and the way the story sucks you in is amazing. You really cared for the characters and just about everything about it was brilliant. I can not think of anything bad about this game, some of the PC dudes on here might have a shit about it and the whole series because it is played by lots of younger kids online and the whole auto-lock thing. But I don't care, just the way it is made will make me play it more that any CS or Starcraft. | |

| I can't imagine a reasonable PC fanboy getting shitty about auto lockon in a game 3rd person game like GTA.
Saying some of the PC fanboys here are reasonable would be a stretch though.

| For me it's Vice City. The rampaging in Vice City is so much more fun than in any other GTA, and between rampages the missions kept me going for a long time too. Tanks missions were amazing. Then my file corrupted and I was too devastated to start again :p. | |

| IV was really good, great storyline, but it was alot more serious than the other ones, it kinda lost that "sillyness" and that all the old ones had in their missions I guess depending on what you like, thats not a bad thing, but i really liked that in the old ones That and i really loved the Vice City radio stations | |

| Apparently one of the new episodes (Ballad of Gay Tony) returns to that sillyness. | |

| Vice City is the best
Nobody is as badass as Tommy Vercetti. That and half the locations from Vice City are direct take-offs from Scarface. I dont think it can get much cooler than that. I just really like the theme of Vice City and Scarface. To take all you can, work your way up and in a not so literal sense, become god
That and VCPR has got to be one of the best stations out of all the GTA games. ChatterBox comes pretty close

| I think Sand Andreas was the best, Ryder is the funniest character in any of the games, in my opinion.
I love the mission were they get fast food, then start doing a drive by "SHIT CJ SHIT!"

| I think GTA3 is pretty underated. Yeah it's old but the actual missions and the driving was a lot better then Vice city. I haven't even played the other ones though. I do quite like the freedom and atmosphere of Vice City though. | |
